Al Ain dad fined for hitting porn-watching girl

A 14-year-old girl was beaten up black and blue by her father and stepmother in Al Ain for surfing adult sites on the internet.

The girl called her mother who rushed to her ex-husband's house and after seeing her daughter's condition, she filed a police complaint at Al Jimi police station. She accused the father and his wife of beating her daughter who lived with them.

The mother also told the police that the girl had been locked up inside her bedroom and threatened of dire consequences if she dared to step out of her room.

According to the medical reports submitted in the court, the girl had injuries on her face, neck and left eye. She also suffered from blood clot in the shoulders while her thigs were bruised and she sported similar injuries in her legs and left thumb as well.

The father pleaded guilty and told the court that on the day the incident took place, his wife had entered his daughter's room to find the girl quickly switching off the computer.

When the father checked what the teenager was surfing, he realised that she was logged on to adult sites and hence he beat up his daughter.

The Al Ain Court of first instance fined the man Dh500 for beating his daughter.
