An appeals court in Fujairah upheld an earlier sentence of three years in jail against a man after he was convicted of raping the 12-year-old son of his friend.
The defendant, identified as AL, was asked by his friend to give a lift to his son in Dibba Fujeirah as he was busy. Once alone, he raped the boy.
“When the boy returned home, his father noticed that he was no normal…after pressing him, the boy told his father about the rape,” 'Al Khaleej' said.
It said the defendant had denied the charges and decided to appeal the sentence.
