Child seduced out of mosque for rape

A man stalking a little boy at an Abu Dhabi mosque waited for him to finish prayer then took him to his house and tried to rape him.

When he kissed him and touched his body, the shocked boy kicked him on the leg and managed to storm out of the house screaming. His 16-year-old friend, who was with him at the mosque, rushed and told the boy’s father.

The father tried to grab that man but he fled the house with the help of a friend, prompting him to go straight to the police, who arrested that man later.

At court on Tuesday, the father pleaded for stiff punishment of the defendant, saying his son has started to have nightmares because of that incident.

Emirat Alyoum newspaper, which reported the case, did not identify the defendant or the boy. It said trial was adjourned to April 23.
