Court acquits 3 of fraudulent purchase of air tickets

The Dubai Criminal Court acquitted a policeman, guard and driver of buying 37 air tickets by using credit cards belonging to other people via the Internet.

The court did not find sufficient evidence against JAJ, 27, and NSA, policeman (both Emiratis) and MRM, 23, Palestinian driver, who were accused by Dubai Prosecution of stealing information on other people’ credit cards and using it to buy air tickets online.

They are also accused of forging official documents  of Emirates airline to buy the 37 air tickets worth Dh99,530.

HK, 43, Indian,  security officer at Emirates airline, testified that records of 2011 showed that some air tickets had been bought from Egypt and France using stolen credit cards issued by banks in Australia.

Police arrested the accused whose electronic devices including computers, Ipad and Iphone, mobiles and BlackBerry used for processing the operations via the Internet.
