Abu Dhabi police have arrested an Egyptian private teacher on charges of molesting two Australian sisters at their home in Abu Dhabi, nearly a year after he was deported from the UAE for raping a teen boy, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The teacher, identified as AM, was accused of molesting the two Australian girls, aged 8 and 13 years, during the first lesson at their home and was stopped by their father just as he was about to leave the apartment.

Their father was at work when he received an urgent phone call from his wife asking him to return home immediately, Emarat Al Youm daily said.

When he returned, she told him that her elder sister came crying and told her that the teacher kissed her and her sister on the mouth and touched sensitive parts of her body.

The father tried to keep him at the flat but Am managed to flee and hide, prompting a police manhunt for him in the capital.

“When police found the man and arrested him, he tried to deny that he was the wanted person and showed them fake documents. He later confessed to the molestation charges,” said Lt Colonel Jumma Al Kaabi, crime section chief at Abu Dhabi’s CID.

“We found that the man had already been deported from the UAE on charges of raping a minor but has sneaked back illegally to resume giving private lessons.

“He was hired by the Australian father through a newspaper advertisement.”
