Driver nabbed with 532 narcotic pills in Al Ain

Abu Dhabi Police has arrested a Pakistani driver and seized 532 narcotic pills that he intended to sell in the city of Al Ain.

Colonel Sultan Suwayeh Al Darmaki, Chief of Anti-Drug Section at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said the suspect recently tried to sell the drugs but was arrested before they were sold.

Colonel Al Darmaki said the department had received information about a man in possession of narcotic pills intended for sale.

The arrested man was identified as SDD, aged 28, who worked as a driver.

Colonel Al Darmaki said, “The suspect was found to be in possession of 11 rolls of plastic containing narcotic pills, in addition to 43 other rolls hidden in his vehicle; a total of 532 narcotic pills.”
