Drunk, drugged and driving in wrong direction

An Arab man is standing trial in Abu Dhabi after he was found driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, although he has denied taking drugs.

When the judge asked him why he was driving in the wrong direction, he argued that he was confused on the grounds he had spent most of his life in Europe.

“He confessed to having alcohol, but denied having drugs although laboratory tests showed he had cocaine. He said he did not know how the cocaine got into his body,” the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said.

An Arab woman who was arrested with the man was charged of being drunk and having an illicit meeting with him.
