Dubai parking ticket forged with colour copier

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced ARM, a 29-year-old Pakistani salesman, to three months in jail for forging and using a forged RTA car parking ticket.

According to the records, RTA inspector QSA, 27, Egyptian, testified that while was on duty on May 31 in Mankhool area behind Al Ain Centre checking car parking tickets, he saw a car that had a parking ticket about which raised his suspicion.

Checking the permission via his hand-held device he found out that the parking ticket was fake.

When the motorist came to his car, police found out that the parking ticket was a photocopy of an original which had expired.

Police confiscated another forged parking ticket from the accused.

Criminal Evidences reported that the two parking tickets were forged using colour photocopiers.

I am glad and pleased with the UAE RTA inspectors. They are doing a very good job. However, I don’t understand what 2AED could save the violators. They should be heavily fine for such an abusive work. Thanks, FS.
