An Emirati man was killed and four others were injured in a road crash on Tuesday night as a result of speeding near the Bowling intersection in Dubai.
Police said the crash was caused when a four-wheel Nissan Patrol driven by an Emirati came from Al Khail street at a high speed and rammed into a Nissan Altima, which itself crashed into three other cars in the area.
The driver of the Altima was killed while the Emirati in the Nissan Patrol and three passengers in other cars were injured.
“The Nissan Patrol hit five cars in the area…we are investigating whether its driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident,” said Colonel Ali Ghanim, head of Bur Dubai police station.
