An Emirati student has been sentenced for life after he sexually expolited and drugged a teen-aged compatriot and fellow student.

On October 20, 2011, Emirati student ZA, 16, was abused by 20-year-old AM. ZA was drugged with Tramadol and was sexually assaulted.

The Dubai Court learnt that AM abused ZA at his house in Al Rashidiyah at around 12:30am and the incident was also filmmed on a mobile phone.

AM then threatened his victim that he would post the video on public forum if ZA spoke even a word about the incident, reported Al Ittihad newspaper.

ZA testified that at around 10pm on Oct 20 a person called IB contacted him and requested to meet him.

IB was accompanied by AM in a car driven by someone else.

ZA was asked to accompany them and enjoy a ride. But instead of a long drive they headed to AM’s house. The driver left but they sat outside the house talking for almost two hours.

ZA wanted them to drop him home but AM made an excuse.

AM requested ZA to help him arrange his house and lured him inside. After going inside AM seized ZA's neck and forced him to swallow Tramadol tablets.

IB was sent away to bring cold drinks.

ZA testified, "I started to feel dizzy after consuming the pills. AM picked a knife and threatened to hurt me and ordered me to lie down.”

“He locked the door and assualted me. He took my phone away and switched it off."

ZA reported the incident to his parents.

AM had previous criminal record of similar nature.
