Emirati threatens to behead two drivers

An Emirati allegedly threatened two drivers with chopping off their heads for standing in front of his sister’s house at Saeer Shabiya in Dubai’s Hatta region.

NR, 33, is also accused of abusing and physically assaulting the two drivers.

ZJ, 30, Afghan, was standing behind his sponsor’s house with his friend SN, 32, Pakistani, at around 6pm on March 21.

“We were waiting for Maghrib prayer when NR passed by us in his car. He stopped his car, came to us and asked me to move from the area and not to stand in front of his sister’s house. Suddenly, he slapped me, punched me on the shoulder and abused me. He also threatened to take me to the farm where he said he will chop off my head,” ZJ told police.

SN, 32, Pakistani repeated the testimony, adding that, being scared of the Emirati, they had asked him to forgive them.

However, the Prosecution accused the two drivers of assaulting the Emirati and causing injury to his thumb.

The court will reconvene on November 10.
