She was arrested in a trap while she was performing black magic for an undercover female officer in Dubai.

She tried to resist and scare officers by making loud and scary sounds, claiming that she was calling 'jinn' to take revenge.

It did not work. She ended up behind bars for fraud.

This was the story behind the arrest of a famous African woman in Dubai recently.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, Lt. Col. Abdullah Rashid Abdullah, Director General of Commercial Crime Department at Dubai Police said that this woman was famous for her “super powers in black magic”.

“She claimed, she inherited these super powers from her father and grandfather. She started out in this field by helping her husband, who was also involved in performing black magic.

“She was helping him in the beginning by handling all the female clients. Later on, her husband divorced her, and then she started her own business offering black magic services.”

Lt. Col. Abdullah pointed out that this woman claimed that she can help men and women in making their husbands or wives love them; or those who are not married to get married to the person whom they loved.

“For that, she asked those who sought her help to get a picture of the person they wanted to perform black magic on or their clothes, or some hair or any other belonging of that person.”

He added that what is irritating is how people believe the claims of these frauds and even spend long time seeking their help and paying them.

“This woman charged her clients between Dh3,000 and Dh5,000. She used to perform black magic in her residence.”

Lt. Col. Abdullah added that they received information from a reliable source who told them about this African woman who claimed to have super natural powers.

“As any other case, we set up a team from the department, and set up a trap to arrest her red-handed. We sent a female officer to her claiming that she wanted her help. Then, we arrested her when she received the money from our undercover officer.”

The case was then referred to the Public Prosecution.
