Fight lands young drug user in jail

A fight in a rent-a-car company caused an Egyptian to be sentenced to four years in jail after he was found guilty of taking drugs.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance also ordered GI, 28, to be deported after serving his jail term.

According to the records, at around noon on February 14, the accused had a fight with WA in a rent-a-car company. The two abused one another and then fought with their hands.

Police, who were rushed to the scene, noticed that GI was in an abnormal condition. He was suspected of having drugs because he was not under the influence of alcohol.

The two involved in the fight were rushed to hospital for treatment of bruises and scratches. A urine test proved that GI had taken hashish and Tramadol.
