An Indian worker was sentenced to three months in jail for groping a shopper during the Gitex exhibition. SK, 30, was also ordered to be deported by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
According to the records, on October 5, RY was walking around at Gitex with her husband and little daughter.
She was surprised when someone hit her from the left side and groped the lower part of her body strongly. She turned towards him while he was trying to run away and caught him.
“I asked him why he did that. He apologised and asked me to slap him twice for what he did. I could smell alcohol. People gathered as well as the security staff who caught him and we reported the incident to the police,” RY told investigators.
The husband said that he was a short distance away from his wife and daughter. He rushed towards her when he heard her shouts.
