Groper in hotel lift gets 3 months in jail

A 45-year-old visitor to the UAE was sentenced to three months in jail followed by deportation for trying to hug a woman in the lift of a hotel.

The woman rushed out of the hotel and informed the hotel’s security staff who caught and kept the man until police arrived.

DK, Indian, denied the accusation and told police that he had only asked the woman about her room number.

The victim told police the accused entered the lift behind her, queried about her nationality and then tried to hug her but she pushed him away and got out of the lift.

Footage of the lift’s camera showed the man putting his arm around the woman who pushed him away and got out of the lift. The man was then seen entering a room in the hotel.
