Man accused of raping boy at RAK mosque toilet

A 40-year-old Arab man is on trial in Ras Al Khaimah on charges of raping a 14-year-old boy of the same nationality inside the toilet of a mosque in the northern emirate.

Police arrested the man after his mother reported that he grabbed her son while he was giving food to the mosque imam at her request.

She said her son told her the man forced him into the toilet and raped him before leaving the mosque.

The Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said the judge set Oct 29 for a sentence against the defendant.
