Man held for drunkenness and molestation

Fujeirah police arrested an Asian man accused of molesting an Asian woman while drunk and said he would be referred to court.

The woman had called the police after the drunk man, in his 40s, walked besides her in a public place and behaved “indecently towards her,” the Sharjah-based daily Alkhaleej said.

“The man confessed to having alcohol but denied he molested the woman,” the paper said, adding that he was referred to the prosecution.
