A Romanian man allegedly came to an air hostess' house and molested her after she repeatedly refused to date him, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

JM, 30, who is of Arab origin, is also accused of threatening the British air hostess, PH, and her mother during the attack.

Six months before the incident, the victim rented a villa at Midriff area from the accused's wife EH.

PH used one floor and sub-let the upper floor to an Iraqi and Egyptian colleague.

Four months later, the husband of the property owner started visiting and flirting with her, asking her for a date.

He also asked her to come and live in a flat he owns. However, he did not suggest any physical intimacy.

Although he tried to make subtle physical advances, the victim never reported him to the police due to her busy schedule.

Her mother used to visit her from UK from time to time.

On March 19, while the air hostess and her mother were in the villa, JM rang the bell.

"I opened the door and all of a sudden the accused, who was wearing only a short, stepped into the hall accompanied by two others. He suddenly hugged me and groped me while saying he missed me," she said.

The mother rushed to her daughter and heard the attacker misbehaving with her daughter.

"I clearly saw him groping her," testified the mother who came again to Dubai to make her testimony.

"While my daughter tried to push him away and release herself from his grip, he pushed her to the floor hurting her shoulder,” testified the mother.

As the victim resisted and the duo asked him to leave, he ordered them to vacate the villa within 20 minutes.

He also threatened to hurt the mother if she did not keep quiet.

Hearing the shouts and screams of the two women, tenant, MA, Iraqi, from upper floor rushed down and spoke to the attacker in Arabic.

After about 25 minutes, the attacker left the place.

The Iraqi told the police that about an hour before the incident, the accused had sent him a message asking him to leave the villa's door open claiming that he would bring people to view the villa for lease.

"I was shocked to see him in the villa after about an hour, attacking the tenant and her mother," testified MA.

The wife of the accused was not present during the attack, testified the Iraqi.

Medical reported suggested that the victim sustained injury on her shoulder.

The accused, who is facing accusations of: indecent assault under duress, physical assault, threatening and entering an inhabited place against the will of the person concerned, will be sentenced on July 24.
