An unemployed man allegedly dragged a woman by her leg into his car after asking her to give her CV to enable him to find her a job in RTA.

When she refused to have sex with him, he snatched her mobile phone and threatened to publish her pictures to force her to submit, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim ZM told investigators that the accused FJ had promised to find her a job in RTA, claiming he knew officials there.

“I met him as he had asked me to give him my CV. I entered his car and as he drove, he asked me to have sex with him. I refused and asked him to drop me back to my car but he did not listen to me. While driving, I tried to open the doors but he held my hand and calmed me down and drove me back to my car.

“As I was about to get out of his car, he snatched my mobile phone worth Dh2,400. He then threatened to publish my pictures if I refused to have sex with him,” she testified.

ZM recognised the culprit when shown to her via an identification parade and the prosecution accused him of forcible theft and issuing threats.

FJ, 31, Emirati, was arrested when he was searched by the police on Dubai-Al Ain Road after a rape allegation. When police spotted his car and stopped him, he was accompanied by a woman who told police he had just raped her after claiming to help find her a job in the armed forces through his sisters who worked there.

FJ is also being prosecuted in two other rape cases.

The Court will reconvene on December 15.
