Man snatches mobile from woman pedestrian

 A drunken worker, who followed a woman pedestrian and attacked her before snatching her mobile phone, was sentenced to one year in jail.

TQ, 21, was also sentenced to an additional one month in jail for consuming alcohol and was ordered to be deported after serving his jail term by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.

According to the records, at around 11 pm, FA was walking in International City’s England cluster near the park when a man attacked her, gagged her mouth before pushing her to the ground and snatching her mobile phone.

An Indian visitor, who was walking towards his house with his wife, saw a man and a woman fighting but he thought that it was a fight between a husband and his wife.

 “When I heard the woman shouting for help, I rushed to the location and the man, who was in abnormal condition, ran away. The woman told me that the man had attacked her and snatched her mobile away, so I called the police,” testified, IY, 33.

Police arrested the attacker, TQ, 22, Pakistani, who was roaming in another cluster and confiscated from him the victim’s mobile phone. The victim and the Indian visitor recognised the attacker.
