Man threatens to kill wife in Dubai

An Afghani man allegedly threatened to kill his wife and send her mother to prison back home, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

MS, 28, is also accused of verbally abusing the woman's honour by claiming she is a prostitute in Dubai.

NS, 25, British airhostess of Afghani origin, told the police that at around 9.25pm when she was with a friend in a coffee shop, she received a phone call from Afghanistan.
 
The caller, MS, threatened that he will send her mother to prison and will kill her when he comes to Dubai.

He also abused the woman's honour and forced her drop complaint she filed against him with Dubai Police.

The victim's friend and co-worker, LK, 28, British of Russian origin corroborated the incident in her testimony.

The court will reconvene on July 12.
