Mutual abuses land two people in Dubai court

A sales manager allegedly threatened to kill and bury a businessman if the latter failed to repay the money he owed him, a court heard on Tuesday.

JA, 45, who has British citizenship, is also accused of abusing MF, 31, Bangladeshi businessman, and the latter, who replied to the insults with similar phrases, is accused of abusing the manager.

MF told prosecutors that by the end of year 2013, JA abused him using different phrases, including: “son of a bitch, and that he will have sex with my mother.”

“He had also sent me SMS and threatened to kill and bury me in the sands,” complained the businessman.

Records mentioned that MF called JA on phone and replied to the abuses with different insulting phrases including: “Your mother is a prostitute and let your mother and sister work in prostitution to get back your money.”

The Dubai Prosecution supplied the court with the text messages translated into Arabic.

Records did not give details about the real problem between the two and only mentioned that the first abused the other, asking him to return his money.

The two failed to appear before the court which adjourned the case until September 2.
