Nine abduct Asian housemaid

Nine Asian men stormed into the room of a housemaid of the same nationality in the Eastern oasis town of Al Ain, robbed the place and abducted her to their apartment where some of them took turns raping her.

In court, the nine were charged of abduction, robbery and rape while the maid was charged of absconding from her employer and working with another.

A police report presented to the court showed the nine smashed their way into the defendant’s room in Markhaniya neighborhood while she was alone.

They then stole some items and drove her to their apartment in Manasir, where they raped her.

The semi-official daily 'Al Ittihad' said the court adjourned hearings to allow the defendants to have lawyers.
