Policeman jailed for 4-year for taking drugs

A 27-year-old identified as OAA, Emirati policeman, who is accused of taking hashish received four years jail by the Dubai Criminal Court.

Second Lieutenant Saif Mubarak of Dubai Police Anti-Drugs Department testified that police received a notification about the accused who works at Dubai International Airport taking and possessing drugs.

A permission was obtained from Dubai Prosecution after investigating the authenticity of the information. On October 10, the accused was arrested near his house in Al Rashidiya area.

His urine test proved positive to hashish components and the accused confessed to taking hashish.
