Ahmad Al Khateri, Chairman of the Department, said out of these 90 cases, 67 were civil and 23 were commercial.

''The maximum time for settling a case was three hours and 30 minutes, and the minimum was 28 minutes,'' he noted.

''On an average, three cases were settled in a day,'' he added.

The one-day court initiative was launched H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, as part of the integrated package of initiatives to develop the judicial system and speed up litigation procedures.
