A salon owner who forged signature of her staff on labour card cancellation application was sentenced to three months jail on Monday by the Dubai Courts.

According to the records, RL, 45, Moroccan hairdresser, was shocked to know that her residence visa was cancelled and that she is banned from re-entering the country.

“Since I never signed labour card cancellation form I suspected that my employer, NW, had forged my signature. I was working for NW and her partner for Dh3,000 monthly salary. Following a dispute between the two partners, NW cancelled my visa without informing me. I never signed on any application of the Ministry of Labour’s forms related to the cancellation of my labour card,” the hairdresser told investigators.

Police investigated RL’s complaint and criminal evidences showed that the signature on the application attributed to the complainant was forged.

Police arrested, NW, 38, Jordanian, who admitted forging the signature of the hairdresser.
