Sharjah Police have arrested the owner of an electronics shop in Al Ghuwair area for selling cards used to open encrypted porn channels and unauthorised sale of spare parts of electrical appliances.
Devices Section at Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police raided the shop after it received information about the shop selling cards to teenagers in the area to enable them to view the encrypted porn channels.
The cards were sold to teenagers aged between 15 and 20 years.
The CID arrested the owner of the shop and 22 cards were seized from him.
A teenager in the neighbourhood admitted purchasing a card for Dh90 and selling it to another person for Dh330.
The accused has been referred to the Sharjah Public Prosecution.
Sharjah Police have appealed to parents and guardians to keep a close watch over their children and not allow the proliferation of such cards and techniques used for spreading corruption and immorality among their children.
The police have asked parents to cooperate and immediately report findings of such cards to them.
