Sharjah Police arrest two for burgling parked cars

Sharjah Police has arrested two Palestinians for stealing things from luxury vehicles parked in sandy areas and near residential towers.

The police had received several such complaints over the past few months.

The two were arrested while they were on the way to steal from cars and in possession of the tools used.

They admitted stealing clothes and personal belongings like bank cards found in the cars whose  doors they had opened. They had withdrawn Dh10,000 using one of the cards they got. They also admitted to burgling  a grocery store in the Abu Shagarah area of Sharjah.
The two men also admitted to attacking Asians and robbing them of money and cards.

Sharjah Police has warned owners not to leave expensive things in their vehicles and urged them to park their vehicles in safe and well-lighted areas and avoid poorly lighted sandy places.

The police also urged building owners to appoint an experienced watchman and install cameras.
