Sharjah Police arrest two for theft of cars

Sharjah Police have arrested two people of Iranian nationality for stealing cars in the emirate.

Police stations in the Industrial Area and Al Hirra had been informed that two cars – a Chevrolet Corvette and a Mitsubishi – had been stolen from the Qasimiya and Al Tawun areas of Sharjah.

The arrested people have confessed to the theft of the two cars and admitted that they were planning to export the stolen vehicles to Iran after forging certificates of possession for the cars.

Sharjah Police has warned automobile repair shops to check carefully documents of vehicles brought for repair, to avoid being held accountable for possessing stolen vehicles.
