The man who was caught by Sharjah Police while trying to sell capsules containing heroin.
The Drug Enforcement Administration of Sharjah Police has arrested a person who was trying to sell 50 plastic capsules containing a brown powder that turned out to be heroin weighing a total of 404 grammes.
An ambush was arranged and the culprit was caught red handed while handing over the drug capsules to the buyer.
He said he was able to smuggle the drug into UAE by swallowing the capsules before entering the country and extracting them immediately after arrival.
Based on the confession, the case has been referred to Sharjah Public Prosecution.
