Criminal Investigation teams of the General Command of Sharjah Police have arrested a Pakistani national, Adil AA, for the murder of a compatriot in his thirties.

According to the case, which involved an ex-husband, a hired killer and a dead second husband, the woman at the heart of the matter returned home to find a dead body stuffed in a suitcase in her kitchen.

According to the case details a Pakistani woman, Kiran AM, filed a complaint on January16, reporting the disappearance of her husband, Mohammed AM.

Her complaint stated after she finished her work on January 10, she headed home and found the door of the flat broken and a strange black suitcase.

She reportedly called her husband several times but he did not reply.

She then called the security guard of the building to go into the flat with her.

She then tried to contact her husband again, but in vain.

She stayed the night at her friend’s house, but went back to the flat accompanied by her friend. That is when she found the black suitcase in the kitchen.

The police rushed to the spot and opened the bag to find the dead body of the husband inside, with hands and feet tied up and with a piece of cloth on the face.

The police investigation revealed that there were differences between the husband, the wife’s ex-husband and the wife’s brother.

The police arrested the wife’s brother at the Sharjah international airport before he could flee the country.

On being questioned, he confessed that he agreed with the ex-husband of his sister to come to the UAE to kill her husband and return to Pakistan.

The police are now looking for the ex-husband.

Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Awaid, head of Al Gharb police station, requested the public to be cautious with respect to relationships in families to evade such crimes.
