Shop sells customer’s ring to another man

A man who bought a diamond ring from a famous jewelry shop in Dubai returned the item on the next day after discovering a defect in it.“The shop acknowledged the defect and promised the man to have it fixed within three months,”

Emirat Alyoum daily said.“When he returned on the agreed date to regain his ring, he found out that it had been sold to another customer.”The paper said the man reported the shop to the Department of Economic Development but it did not identify that shop.

Young man dies after performing prayers

A young Saudi man went to the mosque with his friend, performed prayer, put his shoes back on and started to leave before he collapsed and died.

The man, in his 20s, has just finished evening prayers and started reading verses from the Koran with his friend when he felt dizzy.

“He started to sweat and put his hand on his chest,” his friend said. “I stepped out of the mosque but he did not come out…I went back and found him dead.”

7-year-old boy commits suicide

A seven-year-old Saudi boy circled his neck with a rope, tied it to the window bars at his home then climbed up a little chair and jumped down.

The boy died on the way to hospital and his sister said he enacted a TV execution scene.

The boy was still alive when his family untied him and rushed him to the hospital in the western town of Madina, Alsaudeh newspaper said.

“He died on his way to the hospital…forensic examination showed he had marks of a rope on his neck,” the paper said. “His sister told police that her brother wanted to perform an execution scene he had seen in a TV film.”
 
I’m the president: drunk man tells police

A Kuwaiti man who was arrested drunk in a public place told police he was “the president of the republic” and warned them to leave him immediately.

Police seized the man while he was swaying on the road in Kuwait City and said they were surprised when he told them he was a president.

“We are accustomed to drunk people saying funny things but this man is different,” said a police man, who arrested the drunk Kuwaiti.

“He quickly told us that he is the president of the republic and that he is free to do whatever he wants under the constitution…he said the constitution guarantees his personal liberty and that he can drink or even walk naked if he wants,” the cop told the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Alanba, which said the drunk man did not identify the republic which he heads.
 

 

Fujairah hotel security man held for pimping 

Fujairah police arrested an Asian security employee at a local hotel for involvement in prostitution activities by soliciting customers for a dancer at the hotel, a newspaper reported on Sunday. 

Detectives watching the hotel caught the dancer with two Asian customers at a room in the hotel after they were brought in by the security

employee, the Arabic language daily Al khaleej said.

It said police arrested the three and the security employee.
