A worker who forged his employer’s no objection certificate and used it for obtaining a driving licence, was sentenced to three months in jail.

SO, 37, was also ordered by the Dubai Criminal of First Instance to be deported after serving his jail term.

The crime was discovered when a co-worker, who learnt that SO had got a driving licence, informed the employer IH, 46, Emirati.

“I found out that SO had submitted a no objection letter on a paper that carried the company’s letterhead and addresses to the driving school. As I had never signed on such a document, I asked the school to supply me with a copy. Checking the document, I found out that the letter was forged. It was not on the company’s paper but was forged. The signature and seal were also forged,” IH told investigators.

Criminal Evidences reported that the letter that the accused had submitted to the driving school was forged.
