A Filipina housemaid who stole Dh3,000 worth of lingerie and clothes of her employer was given three months in jail by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
MSJ, 37, was also ordered to be deported after serving her sentence.

According to the records, clothes, underwear, jewellery and a diamond ring and Dh4,000 belonging to her Emirati employer were found in MSJ’s possession.

Her employer testified that she discovered the theft in September after Dh3,000 went missing from her car. She told prosecutors she questioned her three Filipina maids who all denied taking the money. “I threatened to call the police and let them solve the crime," she told prosecutors.

One of the maids then told the employer that she had seen MSJ with a diamond ring belonging to her, she testified. "I lost the ring a month ago, but I did not think that it was stolen. After knowing that I confronted MSJ and she admitted to stealing it,” testified the employer.
