Tailor on trial in Dubai for helping run brothel

A Bangladeshi tailor allegedly facilitated running of a prostitution den by supplying it with customers against Dh20 per person, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

An Indonesian woman who was forced into prostitution and was confined in the same brothel, managed to call the police and tell her story. However, she could not guide the police to the house  in which she was held.

Police informers contacted a man who knew the woman. When asked how he came to know her, he guided police to MS.

MS was arrested and he admitted to sex with the woman.  He also confessed that e supplied the brothel in Al Baraha with customers.

“I was paid Dh20 for each customer I brought for sex with women of different Asian nationalities,” MS admitted.

MS guided police to the brothel where the complainant was confined.

The Court will give its sentence on April 27.
