Three young boys have been arrested by the Sharjah Police for setting a vehicle on fire in the Khor Fakkan region of Sharjah.
Two Palestinians and an Emarati national youngsters were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department, following an investigation into a mysterious vehicle fire in the city of Khor Fakkan.
The Investigation carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Eastern Region helped nab three juvenile criminals for dousing the vehicle with fuel and setting it on fire. The Operations Room received an information about three vehicles fire from Khor Fakkan and after a thorough investigation it was revealed that the fire started from a Cheverlot Corvette vehicle owned by QA, the Sharjah Police said.
Initial investigation indicated that there is a possible criminal act behind the mysterious fire and the CID found out that the fire was man made. After collecting necessary evidence and the interrogation of the two juveniles, they confessed about the crime that they committed with the help of a third person.
They purchased inflammable material from a shop in the city at night and doused the vehicles with the fuel and set the vehicles on fire. They left the scene after committing the crime, but later they were arrested and handed over to the Public Prosecution, the Sharjah Police said.
Crime involving juvenile cases has been reported from different parts of Sharjah and their crimes involved shooting at speed cameras.
