Two burgled grocery for cigarettes and candies

Two jobless Emiratis allegedly broke into a grocery in Dubai’s Al Barsha area and stole cigarettes, lighters, candies, chewing gum and Red Bull drink, totally valued at about Dh500 besides Dh500 in cash.

THA, 23 and MFM, 21 are also accused of destroying the lock of the grocery on March 10.

Lieutenant Hamad Obaid testified that, going by their modus operandi, police reached the two accused who have a criminal record and were detained on the charge of theft.

“Confronting them with  theft at the grocery in Al Barsha, the two confessed,” he testified.
