Two confess sealing diesel from Etisalat station

Two Pakistanis allegedly stole about 590 liters of diesel from a tank at an Etisalat station after breaking the lock using a welding machine, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Wednesday.

Etisalat technicians came to know about the theft after receiving complaints about a failure in the service.

Technicians went to station and found that the cap of the diesel tank was open and its lock was missing and the tank was emptied.

The value of the stolen diesel is about Dh1,930.

Four months later, police learnt about the involvement of MY, 26, shepherd, and TA, 29, driver, in a number of diesel thefts so the two were arrested.

The two admitted stealing diesel from Etisalat station after breaking into the lock using a welding machine and a screw driver.

The court will announce its verdict on October 15.
