Two Africans were sentenced to six months in jail for burgling a grocery and stealing mobile phone cards worth Dh8,000 and Salik cards of Dh5,00 value in addition to Dh6,000 in cash.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance ordered AO, Nigerian, and AA, Somali, to be deported after serving their jail terms.

According to the records, Indian salesman HK, 38, was shocked when he saw the glass door of the grocery broken. “

The shop was in a mess and checking  it I found out that Dh6,000 in cash and mobile and Salik cards were missing,” the salesman told investigators.

Reviewing CCTV cameras, police noticed that two men had entered the shop and burgled it. The salesman could recognise IO, one of the grocery’s clients.
