The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance awarded two Asians six months in jail for swindling Dh97,400 from a manager by selling him 17 forged visas.

FKS, 33, Indian, salesman, and NMD, 34, Pakistani, driver, were also ordered to be deported after serving their jail terms.

The two forged  the visas and sold them to Abdulrahman Shah for Dh97,400 which included the cost of air tickets. The victim, a project manager, testified that he knew the accused via a person called Zahed who guided him to people who issue visas.

He met NMD who guided him to FKS who issued work visas to 17 Pakistanis and sent them to him by e-mail after he paid Dh97,400 being the cost of the visas, air tickets and other expenses.

“The visas had been issued on the sponsorship of a company called Prime for Guarding Services. I checked with the company and found out that they are unaware of the visas. I also checked with the DNRD who said the visas are forged,” he testified.

Seargent Mohammed Abdullah testified that the victim complained to the police and said the accused had charged the victim at the rate of Dh5,000 per visa and asked him to transfer the total amount of Dh97,400 to the account of a person called Tika in a bank in Pakistan. After the money was remitted, the accused sent the victim forged visas by e-mail.
