UAE student’s dad slaps schoolboy on bus
A man escorting his son to a school bus in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain slapped another school boy in the face in front of other students, prompting education authorities to ban his son from using the bus all the year.
Students and the bus driver told the school management that the man slapped their 13-year-old colleague inside the bus while his mother said she would report the man to the police.
The mother said the incident had a negative psychological impact on her son since he was hit in front of many of his colleagues.
She said this could have affected his performance during the semi-annual examination and urged the school management to consider this fact.
In its report, 'Emarat Al Youm' Arabic language daily quoted an unnamed official at the Abu Dhabi Education Council as saying the son of the man who slapped that student would not be allowed to use the school bus until the end of the year as a punishment for his father.
It said the school management had tried many times to reach that man but he would not answer calls on his mobile phone.
