Underage student used friend's ID to enter party

A 19-year-old Indian student allegedly used another person’s identity card to enter a party in a hotel, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

On May 8, VR, headed to a party in Atlantis Hotel. As he was below the age limit, he used the identity card of another person.

The security staff of the hotel noticed that the identity card was of a different person, so police was called who arrested VR for using another person’s ID.

Police found out that the ID card used by the accused was genuine and belonged to someone identified as SD.

The accused admitted that he had used his friend’s UAE identity card to be able to get into the party as he was below the age limit for attending parties.

The court will reconvene on November 2.
