A Sri Lankan sales executive allegedly forged photocopies of a house lease contract and electricity bill and submitted them to Dubai Residency and Foreign Affairs Department (DNRD) with a visa application.
In July BL, 26, applied for a visa for his wife. He submitted with the application a copy of the house lease contract in his name issued by Sharjah Municipality.
Checking the contract, the DNRD officer found out that the stamp on it was forged. He also found out that the information on the contract was also forged. The officer also discovered that the electricity bill that the applicant submitted with the application carried details of another property.
The court will reconvene on January 15.
