A Yemeni businessman allegedly forged a waiver document and submitted it to Dubai Courts to enable dropping of a case filed against him by a compatriot.

MA, 44, is accused of asking a man to pose as AA before the Yemeni Ministry of Justice and this person signed on a waiver. Later MA attested the forged waiver by the UAE embassy in Yemen and then by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Dubai office.

He then submitted the waiver to Dubai Courts and so a case against him lodged in 2008 was cancelled.

Criminal Evidences reported that the finger print that the waiver carried was not of the victim AA.

MA is also accused of misleading justice and judicial authority.

The court will reconvene on January 26.
