The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance has turned down a case filed against a Ugandan woman who was accused by the Dubai Prosecution of obtaining an eye print on the visa of a compatriot who had a permanent entry ban.

The prosecution also accused FN, 37, of forging and using forged documents and attempting to smuggle a deported person into the country.

The court mentioned in its ruling that the accusations do not fall under its jurisdiction.

According to the records, KN, 37, had been deported by the UAE authorities but tried to re-enter the country by giving her passport and visa to FN who claimed that she is the holder of the passport and the visa.

KN is accused of attempting to re-enter the country despite a ban.

First Corporal Mohammed Qambar testified that on February 27, while was on duty at Dubai Airport, a woman approached the counter and submitted a passport and a visa photocopy that carried the name of KN. He made the eye print of her and since the record appeared clear, he stamped the visa photocopy.

“However, I noticed that the picture on the passport did not match the woman’s face. I became suspicious and tried to find out who could be the holder of the passport. I saw a woman sitting. I asked her for her passport. She presented a passport with the name of FN. I made the eye print and found out that she had a permanent deportation order. The two confessed to the crime when confronted,” he testified.
