Woman forged 11 visas, swindled Dh46,500

A 39-year-old Filipina clerk, NMM, with help from an illegal resident, allegedly forged 11 visas and swindled Dh46,500 from a victim, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim IDK, 39, driver testified that he gave Dh16,500 and  photocopies of the passports of 11 of his compatriots to the accused.

“Last August, the accused convinced me that she can arrange visit visas. So I gave her copies of the documents and Dh1,500 as down payment per visa.  After I got the visas, I found out that they were forged. I called her several times to get the money back after telling her that the visas were forged but she stopped replying to my calls,” he testified.

Criminal Evidences reported that all the the visas were forged.

The accused confessed to the charge.

The Court adjourned the case for verdict until January 20.
