Young drug dealer arrested possessing 22,000 tramadol tablets

Dubai and Sharjah police have arrested a young Emirati for selling drugs and tramadol tablets in a joint operation.

Around 22,000 tramadol tablets have been seized from the accused’s home in Kalba.

The accused admitted possessing drugs and tablets which he received from a GCC national residing in the neighbouring country.

The accused has been referred to the prosecution to complete the legal proceedings against him.

Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi, Director of Drug Control Department in Dubai, praised cooperation between the drug enforcement administration of Dubai and Sharjah, which led to the arrest of the accused.

Brigadier Ali Salem Al Khayal, Director of Anti-Narcotics Department in Sharjah, praised efforts of the men in Khorfakkan who carried out the arrest of the accused.
