Young Indian girl commits suicide in Khorfakkan

A young Indian girl has committed suicide in Khorfakkan by hanging herself in her house’s courtyard.

The 22-year-old girl's father claimed that his daughter was suffering from psychological illness and was taking drugs to soothe her mental stress.

Khorfakkan police said it received a communication from Khorfakkan Hospital about the death of a young Indian girl due to suicide.

A team of Criminal Investigation moved to the hospital where the girl's father told police that his daughter committed suicide using the rope in the backyard.

Khorfakkan Hospital pathologist confirmed that the death was by suicide and there was no suspicion of crime.
