Ajman Police has arrested a young Asian national for breaking windows of six vehicles owned by the police staff and its customers because he wanted to be deported to his country.

Colonel Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Shamsi, Director-General of Operations at Ajman Police, said the police received a tip-off from the workers washing  the cars, stating that an Asian damaged cars’ windows in the parking lot of the Ajman Police headquarters. Officials rushed to the parking lot, where they arrested the 19-year-old suspect, RB, for breaking rear windows of the cars with a stone.

The accused damaged Kia Rio, Nissan Patrol, Lexus and Chevrolet vehicles, which were owned by the police officials.

The young man came to the UAE a month earlier and was working as an electrician in an electrical supplies company.

The accused confessed to the police that he committed the crime because he wanted to be deported to his country.

The accused’s employer told police that the young man was suffering from mental disorder and remained absent from work for days. “It's difficult to deal with him, or control his behaviour.”

Police sent his case to the public prosecution, suggesting a treatment from a psychiatrist.
