A young man, believed to be in his twenties, was murdered near a hotel on Saturday morning in Fujairah.
The suspect was arrested a couple of hours later, according to sources.
The deceased was allegedly found in a pool of blood with stab wounds in his chest and was rushed to Dibba Fujairah Hospital. However, the doctors could not save him as he had bled profusely by then.
He has no identifcation papers.
Forensic department along with police officials are investigating the case while the suspect has been transferred over to the public prosecution.
Man stabs family then himself
A Jordanian man in his 60s stabbed his 45-year-old wife and two daughters before stabbing himself, Jordan’s press reported on Sunday.
The four were rushed to hospital in their town between the capital Amman and Zarqa city and police said they would investigate the incident once the four recover. Newspapers said the man, wife and the two daughters, in their 20s, suffered from several stab wounds in their bodies.
“Police will question the four later to know the motives of the man’s act,” they said, quoting a police spokesman.
